That’s why I was extra happy when we launched Workday Settings with automatic activity statuses.

What Is It?

Let’s keep it simple — really simple.

Workday: the time span you define as your working hours. For example, 08:00–17:00.
Activity status: your current availability — such as Available, In a meeting, or Done for the day.

Now, when you combine these two — magic happens. Read on.

When your workday and activity statuses live in perfect harmony, something beautiful is born:

automatic status changes at the start and end of your workday.

Let’s say your workday starts at 08:00.

You can set your status to automatically switch to Available at that time.

When the clock strikes 17:00 and it’s time to say:

“Bye, Macken — see you tomorrow!”

…your status will automatically change to whatever you’ve chosen — for example, Done for the day or Mobile only.

To make it even smarter and more user-friendly, you can fully customize your settings.

You can choose:

Whether to receive calls only on your mobile number after hours — and what should happen to calls to your landline
Whether you want to receive chat and mention notifications outside of work hours
If you should be logged in or out of response groups automatically
Which number to display for outgoing calls
