The digital post it note

When I spoke with our Product Owner ahead of the latest update (lynes 1.11.0) — or as I like to call him, Major Product — I was seriously impressed. He walked me through the team’s thinking and how they’ve not only refined existing features but also expanded our ecosystem with some new ones.

So, say hello to the digital Post-it note.

The digital Post-it note?! I know — the name alone sounds pretty cool. And trust me, it delivers. This feature truly lives up to its name.

I mean, who doesn’t know what a Post-it note is, right? Those colorful little squares have been around since the dawn of time — serving as reminders, shopping lists, or quick notes. They’ve reigned supreme for decades
 until now.

The digital Post-it note is exactly what it sounds like — a virtual version of that handy paper square, only smarter.

Allow me to explain.

What is the digital Post-it note?

Just like its paper ancestor, this is your go-to for quick notes and reminders — but digital. The best part? You can’t write down the wrong info, because the details are pulled automagically from lynes.

When should you use it?

There are plenty of situations where this little gem comes in handy — from missed calls to sharing great conversations with your team.

‱ A reminder to call someone back

Even if you’re not a receptionist, you probably take calls that aren’t meant for you. With this feature, you can share the call log with a busy colleague and leave a comment.

For example: “The caller wanted to discuss an invoice.”

‱ Share a memorable call

Just closed an amazing sales deal? Flex a little — share the call with your teammates for some #inspo.

‱ Share information about a tricky conversation

Had a tough call with a dissatisfied customer? Share it with your manager and ask for tips on how to handle similar situations next time.

How to do it

  1. Search for the call you want to share in your call log
  2. Click Share and choose whether to include any call recordings
  3. Add a comment (optional)
  4. Share it directly with a colleague or in a chat channel
  5. Sit back and relax

FAQ

Can everyone share calls?

All users with access to the call log can share call details from there. Every user can share calls from their personal call log.

Can everyone listen to the shared audio file?

Yes — if you choose to include the recording when sharing a digital Post-it note, everyone you share it with can listen to it.

Can you call back directly from the shared log?

Absolutely. There’s a little phone icon next to the caller’s number — just click it to call them back right away.
